Sabrina Fossati, stage name SaFo, was born in Rome in the Seventies from Italian father and Greek mother. In her childhood she lived six years in Africa where she very soon showed a special sensitivity and a bright fantasy in creativity. Currently she lives and works in Italy as an Abstract painter and a figurative abstract artist. She works Oil on canvas, spatula&materic painting, and mixed up techniques showing ongoing evolution and artistic growth. She started as a portrait painter in pencil and as a painter on glass. Since 2001 she has moved on to Oil on canvas colors. SaFo draws her inspiration from Van Gogh and Klimt making her art a fine expression of her own personal sensing and sensibility. She loves Oil colors whose brightness she loves to explore by experimenting new shades of visual perception, often as a refined Action Painting. Through attentive, intuitive and continual study she is in the constant pursuit of Beauty and of the Spiritual as two inseparable forces of human soul. Always passionate in her paintings, she elegantly sets out to portrait Harmony relentlessly searching new forms and creations. She exhibits in Rome, Venice, Milan, Palermo, Menton (France), Assisi, and in Spoleto(Italy) at the Festival Art Expò, and International Art Fair 2013. She also exhibits in personal and collective expositions in galleries and embassies. SaFo participates in various art competitions always receiving appreciation from the public and the critics. In 2013 she won the first Prize “Giovani Pittori Internazionali”, president and critic Benito Corradini. In 2014 she partecipated in the important “Festival Dei Due Mondi” in Spoleto. She has recently been admitted to partecipate in the Second International Biennial of Art in Palermo in 2015 by Paolo Levi and Vittorio Sgarbi.
